Our History
Blue Sky Helicopters is one of the leading helicopter aviation companies providing nationwide service. Blue Sky is located at the base of the Los Angeles area foothills in the city of La Verne, California at the Brackett Airport. Blue Sky offers a variety of services from- Utility, Power line, Human External Cargo, HVAC, Construction, Agricultural, Forest Service, Department of the Interior, Department of Defense, Animal Survey, Charter and Production. Blue Sky Helicopters is a FAA Certified Part 133, Part 135 and Part 137 operator. Blue Sky operates a variety of different aircraft from our Utility/Executive configured Bell 206 Long Ranger to our latest addition of UH-60L and UH-60A models. We have some of the industry best pilots, mechanics, ground support personnel on staff bringing decades of experience to the company ensuring the customer gets the absolute best level of service.
Our Pilots
Blue Sky Helicopters employs highly skilled and knowledgeable utility helicopter pilots. Our pilots have on average over 5,000 hours of utility flying experience with precision external load proficiency in all types of environments or altitudes. We adhere to strict internal and FAA mandated training, and background requirements. Our pilots continually maintain a high level of proficiency ensuring the safe and efficient completion of all jobs. All of our utility pilots are also certified as aerial fire fighting pilots and are trained to the highest obtainable skill set to perform and succeed for the USFS DOI & CalFire.
Our Mechanics
Our mechanics come from a diverse background with experience in many different sectors of the industry. All of our primary mechanics currently hold an FAA Airframe & Power plant (A&P) rating or and A&P with Inspector Authorization (IA). We have over 60 years of combined experience working on Bell and Sikorsky aircraft, and strive for the safest and best quality aircraft on the market.
Our Maintenance
All of our aircraft maintenance programs strictly adhere to FAA and aircraft manufacturers standards and requirements. We monitor our maintenance and aircraft status in real time prior to every flight, allowing for pilot, mechanic, and management oversight. The Blue Sky maintenance team prides ourselves in putting out the best quality aircraft, with the safety of our crews and aircraft as our number one goal.

Blue Sky crews have extensive experience with all types of external loads. We specialize in pole sets, cage tops, wire and tower raises, repeater construction, A/C unit placement, cement pours, and more. Our pilots and crews have years of knowledge providing professionalism and safety to complete all types of utility and construction projects.
